Renaissance subsidiary awarded multi-million dollar EPC Construction Contract by Port of Fujairah
The Port of Fujairah has awarded a Renaissance Services engineering subsidiary, Nico International, a contract to develop top side facilities at the Port Of Fujairah.
The scope of work includes design, supply, fabrication, installation, testing and pre-commissioning of four berths Topside Facilities. The company is constructing facilities for the port’s Oil Terminal 2 on a lump-sum turnkey, EPC basis.
Nico International beat out the competition, which included several regional names, owing to its technical capabilities and long term involvement with the development of the Port of Fujairah since 1981. The company has made a string of significant investments with the high-tech Port over the years.
Nico International is a unit of the engineering division at Topaz Energy and Marine Ltd., the Dubai-based marine offshore and engineering company owned by Renaissance Services. Capable of both onshore and offshore fabrication, the engineering division is planning to inaugurate a new 30,000 sqm facility in Fujairah, leveraging it to capture a major share of the Emirates’ east coast storage terminal market.
